Exploring the Intersection of Observation and Imagination…

A Collection of Photographs as Inspiration for My Artwork

"My photography is organized into distinct sections: Form, Animals, Reflections, and Water."

Forms

I am fascinated by the intricate ways in which plants grow, evolve, and decay. Nature continuously builds itself up and breaks itself down, creating mesmerizing patterns and textures. Through my photography, I seek to highlight these organic transformations, emphasizing the depth, structure, and dimensionality of the natural world. Each image is a composition that reveals the beauty of nature’s ever-changing forms.

Animals

I love capturing animals in their natural environments, from insects and mammals to marine life. With mammals, I’m drawn to their social interactions—how they connect with their offspring and one another. In the ocean, I find inspiration in how sea life interacts with its surroundings, creating dynamic and intriguing compositions. Animals, in many ways, reflect who we are, and through my photography, I seek to highlight their beauty, behaviors, and the deeper connections they share with the world around them.

Reflections

Capturing reflections allows me to create images that feel almost otherworldly. They distort reality, bending light and reshaping familiar scenes into something new. While some elements remain recognizable, the interplay of light and surface reveals hidden dimensions—offering a fresh perspective on the world around us.

Water

Water fascinates me—its viscosity allows it to cling to plants, shape surfaces, and create patterns of rust. It bends and refracts light, shifting our perception of what we see. Though it has mass, we can move through it. Capturing water with a high shutter speed reveals its sculptural qualities, freezing moments that highlight its ever-changing form. Through my photography, I explore the fluidity, texture, and transformative power of water.
